"War Torn Heart" is an American Style Folk and Rock Acoustic ensemble; which offers magnitudes of excellence with smokey and soul-deep intellectual vocals by Marc Evans; empowered with the accompaniment of occassional Chicago style blues-harp/harmonica; producing deep-southern rooted traditional style songs. "War Torn Heart" clearly reflects some great influences such as: John Mayall, Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Nick Drake, Ryan Adams and Elliott Smith.. to name just a few!
"Forever You" is perhaps one of the more mainstream and commercialized songs with a broad grouping of musical genres; which flows nicely in a loose setting; whilst offering upbeat and optimistic encouragement towards believing positively through the trials of life. "Porcelain Angel" is a song that is a more edgy and sentimental style traditonal folklore song; telling the history of a soul embracing vision of an Angel in a idealistic setting with superb vocals in a deep heart-felt smoldering passion. "Where Did It All Go Right" is a beautiful and inspiring love song! "Winter's Tale" combines the elements of folk, rock and bluesy harmonica chords; in a laid-back setting with a strong southern ambience; that gives off the feel of the music from the late 1960's and early 70's folk and blues rock arena.
"War Torn Heart" is an awesome EP, all of the songs are fantastic!!! Highly Recommend!!!
