INSTANT FLIGHT: Is one of todays greatest pop/rock/psychedelic bands in the U.K. It’s not surprising they‘ve also been picked by Legendary Arthur Brown as his backing band from time to time, whom is featured on 2 tracks on Instant Flights 1st album "Colours & Lights", recorded by Gary Ramon (Sundial). The band is influenced by the Doors, Pink Floyd and Jefferson Airplane. However, there is absolutely no copycat re-hashing of old songs. This band strongly stands alone in a fabulous and wondrous sound of their own, that is timeless, catchy & powerful! "Around The Gates of Morning" is the latest (2011) release by Instant Flight. The song-writing is of the highest quality,with impressive & majestic lyrics and excellent music arrangement.It has been difficult to sort the songs on "Around The Gates Of Morning". Because every track on the CD is equally... GREAT!!!! But among some of my personal favorites are "Around The Gates Of Morning", "Drifting Into Wonderland" (featured in the video below). "Go Ahead & Don't Look Back" is a ghastly song; that authentically produces 1960's style psychedelic/garage/surf. Whilst, "Top of The Mountain" fabulously combines psychedelic and garage-rock with a slight touch of eastern (indian) musical influences, that is literally over the "Top of The Mountain".
Around The Gates of Morning" is an outstanding album of pure excellence!!!!
