The Squires of The Subterrain: is a beat group that come from the “underground” of the Rochester, NY music scene to bring to us “Feel The Sun”, which is a purely 60’s style pop assortment of precise and articulate Beatles style compositions; with syncopated backbeat driven by simple lead, rhythm and bass guitar, plus drums and smooth vocal harmonies. A couple of my personal favorite songs on this album are “Alexander Mannequin” and “Concerning Helen White”. However, I must say that all of the songs on this album are superb! There are no lemons in this doo wop... Only “Yellow Summer Sun”. Highly recommend to fans of the Beatles, Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Dave Clark Five, Herman's Hermits and The Merseybeats!
