Guillermo Cazenave's career stretches back a long way and encompasses a number of different musical genres and many collaborations. On the album 'Pack' he brings his pop sensibilities to the fore and adds touches of ambient in the background. The album is all his own work, with the exception of vocal assistance from Sylvia and Diana Gonzalez. His sense of melody and harmony is very strong and even over the longer songs this doesn't waver at all. Prime examples of his pop nous are 'Are You Going To The Show', 'Summertime' and 'You Came Along'. The songs where Guill stretches out more, 'You Came Along' and especially 'Rainbow' and 'Tell Me How' allow him to explore themes of a more ambient nature, but the songs remain focused throughout. His musical background indicates that he could be a much more heavyweight musician if he chose to be, but the fact that he can work happily in very accessable genres means that his work can reach a wider audience and can also give them an easy to listen to style of music, but with much more creative skill weaving in and around the songs, making them a lot more intersting and substantial.
